The Pakistani security forces were targeted in separate attacks in Gwadar, Noshki, Awaran, and Turbat, leading to multiple casualties. Baloch “pro-independence” groups have claimed responsibility for the attacks.

According to reports, the Pakistani security forces were targeted in an attack in Balochistan’s coastal city of Gwadar. The Balochistan Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the attack in a media statement, claiming that its fighters had killed seven Pakistani soldiers.

Major Gohram Baloch, the spokesperson for the group, claimed in the media statement that BLF fighters attacked a vehicle carrying rations for the Pakistani security forces. He said that seven soldiers died in the attack, and the BLF confiscated their weapons.

BLF said that the video of the attack will be soon released.

The group added that the Pakistani security forces were also targeted in a mine where at least one soldier was killed.

Pakistani security forces were targeted in another attack in Noshki where at least one soldier was killed and three others were critically wounded. The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack, saying that the slain man was an undercover agent of the Pakistani security forces.

BLA identified the slain man as Agha Wali, a resident of Noshki, who was killed when the BLA fighters opened fire on him. BLA said that Wali was using his shop as a base to plan his activities against Baloch political and social activists and nationalists.

BLA further claimed that Wali was also recruiting people for the Pakistani intelligence agencies; he was incentivizing and often blackmailing young boys and girls to join his agenda. He had also harassed the family members of “Baloch martyrs.”

BLA further said that its fighters had attacked the Pakistani security forces in the Minaz area of Buleda at the time when the local agents were also there. The group said that three individuals were critically wounded in the attack.

In another development, at least seven people were injured and one killed in an explosion in Kolawah, Awaran. The wounded were identified as Asif s/o Muhammad Hashi, Mehr Ullah s/o Usman, Fouzia wife of Nazir Ahmed, Masdooq s/o Abdul Ghaffar, Abdul Muttalib s/o Abdul Ghaffar, Siddiq s/o Nazeer, and Shabana wife of Abdul Ghaffar.
