A dead body of a man has been recovered from Turbat area of Balochistan’s Kech district.
According to details, the Kech police have found a dead body of a man from Nasir-Abad area or Turbat, and shifted him to district hospital. Where he was identified as Zubair s/o Ismail, resident of Sirinkan Turbat.
The motive behind the death of the man has not been ascertained yet, while the police is investigating, officials said.
It is pertinent to mention that thousands of people are reportedly missing from Balochistan, while recovery of dead bodies and mass graves have been a common occurrence for two decades.
At least 16 dead bodies were found from different areas of Balochistan last year. Some of them were identified as missing persons. A man named Allah Dad son of Abdul Rehman, was among the deceased, who had been four months earlier and then his dead body was recovered from Dalbandian area of Balochistan.
According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a campaign group by the victim families, around 47,000 Baloch people are under the custody of Pakistani army and intelligence agencies. The group also alleges that at least 5,000 missing persons have been killed.
A couple of days earlier, a resident of Panjgur district of Balochistan goes missing in Hub Chowki city on Thursday.
According to reports, CTD raided a house in Hub Chowki, the industrial city of Balochistan and arrested a man named Safi son of Master Abdul Razzaq, resident of Vashbud, Panjgur.
Confirming the incident, family sources told The Balochistan Post that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) raided their house at Hub Chowki and arrested the the young man, whose whereabouts are unknown since. The CTD personnel also subjected women and children in the house to severe torture, family sources said.
