A woman has been killed, while two others have been injured in Kalat district and Hub Chowki city of Balochistan.
The Police sources said they have recovered a dead body of a girl. The dead body was recovered from Ghous Abad area of Kalat, which was later shifted to DHQ hospital Kalat.
According to doctors, the woman was strangled to death with a rope or scarf. In the latest developments, the police has arrested a man accused of being involved in the murder of the said woman.
The woman was married to a man named Ali Gull, two years ago, who is accused of killing his wife in the name of honour and hiding her dead body. Ali Gull is also accused of killing his brother on the same charge.
The Kalat police has said that, their team has raided in different areas last night and arrested one of the accused named Ali Asghar s/o Ali Hassan, who is under investigation, while the dead body of the woman is handed over to the father after the necessary procedure.
Meanwhile, the police has found a woman and her daughter injured in a house in Hub Chowki. When the police reached on the spot, the woman and her daughter were critically injured, who were later shifted to the hospital, a local journalist said.
According to police, the injured woman is in critical condition and she has been referred to Karachi for further treatment. The police has started an investigating into the incident.
It should be noted that the news of honour killings are being reported frequently from different areas of Balochistan. However, very few of the culprits have been brought to justice by law enforcement forces.
According to statistics, more than one thousand women get killed in Pakistan yearly, most of them are the victims of honour killings.
