Six miners were injured, while three still remain stuck in coal mine incidents in different parts of Balochistan, on Tuesday.
According to details, Three miners Sayed Muhammad, Muhammad Saleem and Jameel were injured as a result of poisonous gases that filled a coal mine in Hanna Urak area of Zarghoon near Quetta.
A similar incident took place in Marri lease, a place in Chamalang area, due to which three miners Naqeebullah, Abdul Faiq and Yar Muhammad were burnt.
Dawood Khan, manager of district support team, said that the injured were given first aid and taken to hospitals in Quetta for further treatment. Two of the injured remain critical.
He further said that after the incident emergency was imposed in the area as three other miners were still stuck in coal mines.
In a a similar incident, that occurred on 20th March, three miners Zarkhan, Khan Zameen and Niaz Muhammad were killed in Laakhra, near Jamshoro in Sindh. The deceased were residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The incidents of coal miner deaths are common due to unavailability of equipments and safety measures, while many work in coal mines without any experience.
