An “abducted” youngster has been reportedly killed in detention of Pakistani forces. Family of the person, who was taken away few days ago, was informed by the authorities to collect the dead body from hospital.
On the other hand, the number of ‘enforced disappearances’ continue to increase rapidly in Balochistan. Another youngster was allegedly abducted by the security forces from Khuzdar, Balochistan on 13th of June.
According to sources a Baloch youngster identified as Gwaram s/o Nadil has been killed in the custody of security forces. Gwaram Baloch was “abducted” on 12th of June during a raid in Koshkalat area of tehsil Tump, Balochistan. Three more youngsters were also picked along with Gwaram Baloch who were identified as Abdullah s/o Hussain Ali, Sohrab s/o Raheem Bakhsh and Sattar s/o Illahi Bakhsh. Their whereabouts still remain unknown.
Sources have also confirmed that security forces informed the family of Gwaram about his death in custody and asked them to collect his dead body.
On the other hand a Baloch youngster has been reportedly “abducted” by the security officials from hospital road, Khuzdar.
According to sources, the youngster has been identified as Abdul Rehman, a resident of Zehri. Sources also confirmed that he is cousin of Tabish Waseem, a Brahvi language poet, who was also abducted a couple of days ago.
‘Enforced disappearances’ have seen a rise in last week, in the last two days seven cases of ‘enforced disappearances’ were reported from Kech district only, while four cases were also reported from Khuzdar and Quetta.
Voice for Baloch Missing Persons has been campaigning against the ‘enforced disappearances’ in Balochistan for over a decade.
The organization on various occasions has accused the state forces for being involved in abduction and killing of Baloch youth.
