Baloch “pro-independence” group Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for the recent attack targeting former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Haider Bugti, in Sibi.
As per reports, unknown assailants had thrown a hand grenade in his house on Saturday night. Bugti was not hurt but his house servant, Shouqat s/o Baaram Khan, was wounded in the attack.
Baloch Republican Guard, an armed group fighting for the “independence”, claimed responsibility for the attack in a media statement.
BRG said that their target was Haider Bugti who had joined the Military Intelligence of Pakistan after retirement from the police.
The group said that Bugti has been involved in several crimes, and cautioned the general public to distance themselves from him as he can be targeted anytime anywhere.
