Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), called on Saturday, for restoration of the PMC seats for Balochistan.
The PPP Chairman, in a statement expressed solidarity with the protesting students and vowed to defend their rights. “It is the right of students of FATA and Balochistan to get quality education”, Bilawal Bhutto stated.
Terrorism severely affected Balochistan and FATA and resulted in the deprivation of students from quality education, Bilawal said. “The decision is equal to replacing pen with a gun in the hands of students”, he lamented.
Students from the erstwhile FATA and Balochistan have been protesting in Islamabad for the restoration of scholarship seats in medical colleges and other educational institutions.
PPP Chairman criticising the ruling Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf, said that PTI has violated its promise of promoting education and rather depriving students of education. He urged the government to restore the medical and other seats in prestigious educational institutions of the country.
“Students of Balochistan and tribal areas too have the right to get quality education”, Bilawal added.
