Two more polio virus cases surfaced in Balochistan on Saturday, taking the tally to 23 during the current year.
As per the Health Department Balochistan, 4-year-old child from Chiltan town of provincial capital Quetta and 15 months old child from Tehsil Burshore of district Pishin have been diagnosed with the crippling virus.
According to sources, the family members of both infected children had refused to administer polio drops to their children during the last Anti-Polio campaign.
So far 23 cases of crippling virus have been reported in Balochistan, this year. Despite spending millions of rupees with donor countries, Pakistan has still failed to control this menace across the country.
