Clashes occurred between militants and Pakistani forces in Mastung district of Balochistan on Monday
According to details, Heavy clashes erupted between armed men and Pakistani security forces during the search operation carried out by Pakistani forces in Pring-Abad area of Mastung District.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has claimed that the person who was killed had been a commander of terrorist group “Daesh” (ISIS).
The armed man, who was killed during the CTD operation, has been identified as Muhammad Nawaz alias Sindhi.
Whereas, another person escaped from the spot, as per CTD, “the escaped Mumtaz Pehlwan was also identified as a key member of ISIS, search operation for his arrest is underway within the area”.
The officials also claimed to have recovered a suicide jacket and weapons.
The CTD officials have claimed that the mentioned person had been involved in the suicide attack on Siraj Raisani. However, other sources have not confirmed it yet.
Siraj Raisani, a leader of Balochistan Awami Party, was killed by ISIS in July 2018. Siraj was also alleged to head a pro-Pakistan militia in the region.
