The Balochistan Post Media Network was launched on the 11th of August in 2017 and with its inception, the organization released a comprehensive document explaining its aims, mission, and modus operandi in length. The organization had vowed to reach out to its readers in four languages through separate websites within time. Fulfilling its promise, TBP network published its second website in the English language on 11th August 2018. In continuation of the fulfillment of the promises, today, on 9th May 2020, TBP network is proudly announcing that it has achieved the promised goals and published two more websites in Balochi and Brahui languages for its readers.

Why in four different languages?

Journalism in Balochistan is facing intense censorship by the state. The state has drawn a line for all the journalists and the ones who cross it in order to bring the reality in front of the world are quite often turn into news themselves. They either go missing or killed. A void has been created between the news and the readers; to fill this void TBP network stepped in with the mission of connecting the readers with authentic and unbiased news through professional journalism using all the means to become the true voice of Balochistan.

Languages play a monumental roll in journalism as it highlights the targeted readers of any particular newspaper or TV channel. In order to become the true voice of Balochistan, TBP was published in the Urdu language at first. Urdu is spoken and understood by the majority of Balochistan’s readers but it also gave way to TBP to reach out to the neighboring nations who can also read the Urdu language.

Balochistan is a black hole for International media and seldom a piece of news from Balochistan reaches to the outside world. TBP media network felt this need of connecting Balochistan with the outside world and established its English news web desk within a year to enhance the reach to English readers.

Balochi is the most spoken language of the Baloch nation. It is spoken and read not just in Eastern Balochistan but also in Western Balochistan. Journalism in Balochi has already helped the language to enrich and organize. Knowing the dual advantages of Balochi journalism, TBP news network has now established its Balochi web desk and launched a separate website.

Brahui is the second most spoken language of the Baloch nation. Unlike Balochi journalism, which is comparatively developed and there are a few Baloch media who use Balochi as language, and there has been extensive work on Balochi journalistic vocabulary. Brahui journalism is still alien to the speakers and readers of this language. Although, in past, there were several attempts to build institutions for it but it has always lacked a proper media platform. Therefore, TBP news network has also established its Brahui desk and launched a separate website.

Next Step?

TBP news network is determined to continue its undeterred journey and expand its network while still abiding by professional values, quality, and authenticity. TBP is aware of the other languages that Baloch nation speaks (Siraiki and Persian) and it wishes to set separate web desks in these languages too. However, in the immediate future, TBP is focused on enhancing its compatibility and capability for modern journalistic mediums and tools. The organization has already started working on a few such tools.

TBP has always been served by hard-working professional journalists and writers. Besides that, a large number of renowned intellectuals, authors, and poets use this platform for the publication of their write-ups, poems, and stories. However, the organization has felt the lack of a publishing house for the material to be published in the paper. Publishing of such material in paper will encourage the writers which otherwise cannot get published due to bans and censorships imposed by the state. TBP is going to establish its own publishing house soon.

In the long run, TBP has also chalked out the plans for the establishment for its Radio and online TV service.

TBP and You:

TBP news network is a team of highly skilled professionals, who work day and night to bring the latest to its readers. But the secret behind the success of this organization has always been its reporters on the ground, its columnists and readers.

It was the readers who always encouraged our team. Even when the network’s websites were blocked by the state but you never stopped visiting the websites using different means to unblock them.

TBP receives tens of write-ups in all four languages on a daily basis written by the ablest writers out there who provide motivation to our team working behind this successful media network.

TBP news network does not believe in the sensationalization of news and the prevailing culture of ‘Breaking News’. It receives the most authentic news from its vast network of reporters which confirm every detail of the news and then the news is penned by professionals and published only after it is edited by the editors serving at different web desks of the network.

TBP news network cordially thanks its every reader and writer for the immense support. We hopes you will remain alongside us in our journey towards achieving the goal of being recognized internationally as the most trusted and professional media network of Balochistan.
