DSP and SHO Police found guilty of killing two passersby in a fake police encounter in Kot Mubarak Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to the reports, on November 10, 2019, after a combat ended between a local gang named Ladi and Police, police arrested two passersby Abdullah Khosa Baloch and Ghulam Haider Khosa Baloch and shot them dead after two hours of torture.

DSP Riaz Bukhari, SHO Kamran Saif and Chaudhry Azhar were involved in the incident.

On this occasion, an organization called ‘Baloch Raj’ gave a protest call along with the families of victims, which led to sit-ins, candle lights, silent protest demonstrations and rallies in Dera Ghazi Khan for several days. The protests were also staged in Multan and Dera Ismail Khan.

After the protests, the government announced a judicial commission whose report came to light on March 24, 2020.

The report states that the two young men named Abdullah Khosa Baloch and Ghulam Haider Khosa Baloch were killed by the police in a fake encounter.

The commission misidentified the police point and wrote that no evidence had appeared against the two youths.

The commission also held responsible the DSP Riaz Bukhari and two SHOs Chaudhry Azhar and Kamran Saif for the killings.
