A bomb ripped through Turbat at a route where ‘black day rally’ had passed only minutes ago.
According to details, a powerful blast has been reported in Airport road area of Turbat, on Thursday.
There were no immediate reports of loss of life. However, heavy contingents of Pakistani security forces cordoned off the blast site.
As per the reports, ‘Black day rally’ had passed through the route only minutes ago. The rally titled “Kashmir Solidarity Day” was organised by commissioner of the city. Various religious organisations also took part in the rally.
It’s important to mention that the decision to mark India’s independence day as ‘black day’ was taken at the National Security Committee meeting, chaired by Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The attack was claimed by a Baloch pro-independence militant group, Baloch Republican Army (BRA).
Beebagr Baloch, the spokesperson of BRA said, “our fighters attacked the so called ‘black day rally’ organized by Pakistan Army. The rally was attacked by an IED deposited in a car near Turbat airport road, which resulted in killing 4 supporters of Pakistan army.”
Baloch nationalist organisations allege that Pakistani security forces organizing this type of events across Balochistan to hide Baloch issue and independence movement from the world.
Remember, scores of attacks and blasts were conducted by Baloch armed groups on 14th August (Pak’s I-Day) rallies and security forces check posts across Balochistan.
