The Central Spokesperson of Baloch Students Organization Azad (BSO-A) paid tributes to Akbar Khan Bugti on the occasion of his thirteenth assassination anniversary, and said that the martyrs of Tartani, their struggle and the sacrifice of Akbar Khan Bugti inspired the Baloch nation including the Baloch youth and gave a new impetus to the Baloch movement.
“The sacrifice of Akbar Khan will always be the cause to underpin the courage and morale of Baloch youth. The objective of all the Baloch martyrs of Tartani incident was the establishment of an independent, just and equal Baloch society where no difference would exist between a tribal chieftain and a common Baloch individual; where all Baloch would live a free and prosperous life,” BSO Azad said in the statement.
“Akbar Khan Bugti’s martyrdom provided fuel to the Baloch national movement and promoted a new desire and enthusiasm, and today every Baloch feels its impacts, and that caused them become the part of the national movement.”
The Central Spokesperson added that the senior Baloch political leader overwhelmingly faced the thirst, hunger and other all difficulties in old age, and chose a path that made him immortal in the history forever. Such sacrifices bring the process of the political struggle over the new pathways, and the martyrdom of Akbar Khan diverted the direction of Baloch history against the tribalism and chieftaincy and organized the movement on the national basis.
BSO-A statement further read that the Baloch people cannot allow using the sacrifices of the Baloch martyrs for the maintenance of someone’s personal and tribal status. Imposing the outdated tribal traditions in Baloch nationalism and the movement by using the sacrifices of the Baloch martyrs is a divergence from the martyrs’ struggle and their aims for the establishment of a free and an independent Baloch society.
The Spokesperson stated that the Baloch youth should act over the ideas and philosophy of the martyrs, and play an active role in the Baloch national movement.
