A military vehicle has reportedly been destroyed in a roadside bomb attack in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
The attack took place on Wednesday in the Paroom area, where a vehicle in a convoy of Pakistani security forces was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED), according to local sources.
Sources said the blast “completely destroyed” the vehicle and caused casualties among security personnel. However, there has been no official confirmation of injuries or fatalities.
Following the explosion, Pakistani forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
The incident comes a day after similar attacks in Turbat and Panjgur. On Tuesday, a military vehicle was targeted with an IED in Turbat, reportedly killing three soldiers. In a separate incident in the Paroom area of Panjgur, armed men seized a supply vehicle transporting rations for military personnel.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attacks, but no group had claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s bombing at the time of publication.
