Two Policemen died and three more injured in a bomb attack in Naseerabad district of Balochistan on Monday.

According to the initial reports received by TBP, unidentified men hurled a hand grenade to the cops in the market of Goth Hameedabad.

The cops died in the attack have been identified as, Yar Mohammed and Farooq Ahmed.

Later today, on Monday, the responsibility of the attack was taken by Baloch Republican Guard (BRG), a Baloch militant group.

Dostain Baloch, spokesperson for BRG, said, “Our fighters attacked the policemen with a hand grenade bomb while they were on duty. Two policemen were killed in the attack”.

“Such attacks will continue until the independence of Balochistan”, he added.

Whereas, another attack on Pakistani paramilitary forces, FC was reported in Sibi area of Balochistan, toaday.

Mazar Baloch, the spokesman of United Baloch Army(UBA), has claimed the responsibility of the attack.

“FC check post was attacked with heavy weaponry in Nari Gajh area, which killed two FC personnel and injured several more”, he said.

Another Baloch militant group, claimed two different attacks on Pakistani forces in Turbat and Panjgur districts of Balochistan on Sunday.

The spokesperson of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Goahram Baloch, has claimed damages and multiple casualties to the Pakistan army, by the attacks on their check posts.

Every year on the eve and day of 26 August, Baloch militant groups carry out series of attacks on security forces and installations. On this day in 2006, A prominent Baloch leader, Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation in Dera Bugti.

Akbar Bugti’s death worked as a fuel in the Baloch independence movement. It however, resulted in massive protests when entire Balochistan, from university students to separatist leaders, united against the Pakistani regime. All opposition leaders throughout the Pakistan and neighboring countries condemned the killing of Baloch leader.
