Hassam Baloch was abducted along with three others from Karachi city on 15 November 2017.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, after remaining under incommunicado detention for a year, Hassam Baloch, a Central Committee member of Baloch Students Organization Azad, has reportedly been released today on Sunday.
Hassam Baloch was abducted along with Sana Ullah Baloch, the former Secretary-General of BSO Azad, Naseer Baloch, another CC member, and Rafique Baloch, a member of Baloch National Movement (BNM) from a house in Karachi city in November last year.
Except for Hassam, who has been produced today in his hometown Mand, other student leaders still remain missing after a year.
Family of Hassam Baloch has also confirmed the release of their loved one, who is at his home in Mand town now.
Several BSO-Azad members have been abducted in the past allegedly by Pakistani secret agencies, including the top leaders of the organization.
The former Senior Vice Chairman Zakir Majeed Baloch, former Chairman Zahid Kurd Baloch and another senior leader, Shabbir Baloch are still missing.
International Rights Organizations and Human Rights Commission Pakistan, has criticized Pakistan over the illegal abduction of student leaders and political activists to silence the dissent.
