A young man has been abducted from Gwadar city of Balochistan.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, a young man has been abducted from Koh-Bun-Ward area of Gwadar.

The abductee has been identified as, Qais s/o Haji Khad.

According to locals, Qais was arrested by Pakistani forces in raid on his house and moved to an undisclosed location.

Locals allege Pakistani forces for abducting hundreds from Gwadar and suburbs to compel the native people to migrate as the multibillions project, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is based and the route passes through the region.

The term ‘abducted’ is widely used in Balochistan to connote arrests made by security forces as the arrested are not presented before court of law and instead kept in military camps.

International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International also accuse Pakistani security forces as the culprits of ‘illegal abductions in Balochistan’.

Pakistani Military denies the allegations.
