Man and a woman were killed in Osta Muhammad district in a case of so-called ‘Honour Killing’

According to the details received by the Balochistan post, brother killed his sister and her alleged lover yesterday in Osta Muhammad district of Balochistan.

The incident occurred in ‘Goth Abdul Ghafoor’ town in the limitations of Sadar Police station.

Later, the deceased were identified as Begum Khatoon and Khaliq Daad, who were killed together by Begum’s brother Nazar Muhammad.

Police told the media they were in search of the perpetrator who had managed to flee the scene of crime.

A surge has been observed in the number of honour killings this year, most of the incident happening in the Eastern districts of Balochistan.

In the previous month, eight people including four women were killed in two incidents of so-called honour killings in Naseer Abad district.

Locals complain that local administration including the police has failed to put an end to these killings.
