A mother was allegedly beaten up and her young son was abducted from Naal Tehsil of Khuzdar district of Balochistan on Wednesday.
According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Pakistani forces have arrested a young man during a raid and taken him to an undisclosed location, from Gresha area of Naal.
“FC, a Pakistani paramilitary force, raided a house in Gresha town and arrested a young man, named, Tahir s/o Bahot, whereas tortured her mother BiBi Jamaeti on resistance,” locals sources confirmed.
According to sources, Tahir’s mother went unconscious as her leg was broken in the incident. Her son was taken to an undisclosed location, and is still missing.
Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. However, recently instances of ‘women and children abduction’ have also been reported from the war-struck region.
International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the ‘perpetrators of illegal abductions’ in Balochistan.
