Police officials in Karachi have claimed that they arrested five including two members of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Crime Investigation Department (CTD) Pakistan has confirmed arrest of five persons affiliated with different, what they called, extremist organizations, on Thursday from Karachi, the capital city of Sindh province.

“We have arrested three men, who were the financial supporters of militant groups, in a raid in Orangi town of Karachi,” CTD stated.

The arrested men have been identified as, Asmat, Imran and Wahid.

In another raid in Korangi town of Karachi, CTD claimed to arrest two members of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), an armed organization active in Balochistan that is struggling for an ‘independent Baloch state’.

The arrestees have been identified as, Rasheed and Dastageer.
