Three activists whisked away by security forces in a late-night raid at a house in Jamshoro
According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, three men of the same family have been picked up by the Pakistani security forces in a late-night raid at a house in Jamshoro.
The abductees were the son and nephew of a renowned Sindhi nationalist, Aman Ullah Chandio, who too was among the abductees.
His son Safi Chandio and nephew Gulshan Chandio were active in raising voice for the ‘missing persons’ in Sindh.
Their house in Saeed Abad area of Jamshoro city was raided by the masked security personnel, who entered the house late at night, according to the daughter of missing Aman Ullah, women and children too were beaten when they tried to save the men of the house.
The whereabouts of Aman Ullah Chandio, his son and nephew are unknown, as it happens in the case of every ‘missing person’, a term widely used across Pakistan for the illegal abductions allegedly by Pakistan’ secret agencies.
It is pertinent to mention, Sindhu Aman, the daughter of missing Aman Ullah Chandio is the deputy convener of Voice for missing persons of Sindh, an organization working for the safe release of missing persons in Sindh.
The campaign to bring back the missing persons of Sindh has gained momentum this year. Sit-ins were staged in all major cities of Sindh, but the protests were then called off after promises made by the government representatives.
