A homemade bomb planted by unknown assailants has targeted preparations of Pakistan Independence Day in Noshki city.
According to The Balochistan Post correspondent, a bomb went off with a huge blast on Azat Jamaldini roundabout, located on Jinnah road Noshki.
Local administration of the city were busy in preparing for 14 August Independence Day of Pakistan, when the bomb exploded.
However, according to the Police, no one was injured in the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of filing this report. However, violence by ‘pro-independence’ Baloch nationalist groups has recently surged in Balochistan.
In similar violence, a radio station at Saryab road Quetta was attacked with a hand grenade on Sunday, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has since claimed responsibility for the attack. BLA also claimed responsibility for grenade attacks on FC check post in Hub city. The grenades in the attacks had not exploded, averting major loss.
