Renowned political leader and head of armed organisation Balochistan Liberation Front, Dr Allah Nazar has demanded that international organisations should declare Balochistan a disputed territory.

In a statement received by The Balochistan Post, the medical doctor turned militant commander, has also urged the international powers to take immediate action in stopping ‘war crimes’ committed by Pakistani Army in Balochistan.

‘Pakistani, in order to strengthen its unjust and illegal occupation of Balochistan, is crossing all limits and committing heinous crimes in Balochistan,’ the Baloch leader said.

He added: ‘To complete the Chinese funded China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Pakistan and China are inflicting the heights of brutalities upon Baloch nation. Under the cover of economic projects, China is furthering its strategic designs in the region. Other than CPEC and Gwadar port, China is also building up a huge Naval base in Gevini near Gwadar. This will not be only an eternal threat to Baloch nation but will also result in power imbalance for the other stakeholders in the region.’

Dr. Allah Nazar said that CPEC and all other ‘exploitative projects’ have been inititated against the consent of Baloch nation, therefore, these are facing strict resistance. ‘China should understand the obvious that colluding with an occupier is against all international conventions. China should not be presumptuous in thinking to suppress and dominate Baloch nation and the Baloch national struggle,’ he added.

‘Pakistani Army in utter blitzkrieg is completely razing off villages on the route of CPEC. People are forced to abandon the lands of their ancestors. A major part of Baloch nation and Baloch land are under direct harm due to the CPEC,’ the BLF commander said.

He alleged that: ‘for CPEC and the upcoming Pakistani elections, the Pakistani military is forcing villagers at gunpoint to vacate their villages and live the life of displaced persons near military camps. This is tantamount to economic genocide. The only objective of such designs is to save the fate of upcoming elections.’

Dr. Allah Nazar added that Baloch nation expressed its democratic opinion in 2013 by completely boycotting the Pakistani held elections. This boycott amounts to a democratic referendum. However, Pakistan, in a failed bid to mislead the international community, is once again preparing for another election.

‘The necessity of Pakistan to use military might in itself confirms that Baloch do not want to indulge in any political activity under Pakistani framework,’ he said.

He further added that as many as 32 women and children are under custody of Pakistani military in Mashkay, whereas, other women have also been targeted in Dera Bugti and Turbat. ‘Pakistani jets are bombarding many areas of Bhambor for many days now. In Lehri, the ready crops of locals have been destroyed. All these brutalities are inflicted so that Baloch nation withdraws from its just demand of liberation,’ he said.

‘Pakistan should understand that the proud nations can never be subdued through brutalities or even with genocide,’ Dr. Allah Nazar said in his statement.

He said that Baloch nation has resisted against intruders in past and is doing the same against the Punjabi occupation.
