Afghan youth have kicked off a sit-in in Kabul, the capital city, to extend their unity and solidarity to the Pashtun Long March in Pakistan, urging the international community to declare Pakistan a terror sponsor state and impose economic and diplomatic sanctions on it.

Activists chanted slogans in support to the Pashtun Long March and its leadership and displayed banners with slogans, ‘Stop Pashtun, Baloch and Hazara genocide,’ ‘Pakistan is killing and world is watching,’ and ‘recognize Pakistan a terror sponsor state.’

Abasin Barial, a young politician said Pashtuns could not be separated through imaginary lines, adding the entire Afghan nation firmly stands behind Pashtuns on the other side of the Durand Line.

‘The international community must press Pakistan to recover more than 34, 000 missing Pashtuns in Pakistan, including more than 14, 00 women,’ Abasin added.

He furthered, if Pakistan did not put an end to the human rights violations and genocide of small nations within the country, Baloch, Sindhi and Hazara ethnic people would also take roads and streets against that country to get rid of state sponsored terrorism.

‘Pakistan is rapidly moving towards regional and international isolation for its terrorist policies,’ he claimed.

He pledged that the Kabul sit-in would be extended to the provinces as well to mobilize the general Afghan masses in support of the Pashtun Long March and against state sponsored terrorism.

Halim Shamalzai, an active organizer of the sit-in, expressed his deepest unity and solidarity with the Pashtun Long March and endorsed their legitimate demands.

He came hard over Pakistan for harboring and sheltering terrorist outfits on its soil and thoroughly exporting them into Afghanistan to sustain destabilized Afghanistan and undermining the US-led war on terror.

‘Pakistan must be black-listed and declare a terror sponsor state,’ Shamalzai told Afghanistan Times.

Israr Karimzai, one among the main organizers has quoted by the Voice of America, as saying, ‘The Kabul sit-in has been launched in support of the Pashtuns on the other side of Durand Line.’

He said the sit-in is based on three fundamental demands that include, the international community must declare Pakistan a terror sponsor state, Taliban should be entered into Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace and reconciliation process, after the comprehensive and precondition talks offer by the Afghan government and warlord-ism must be ended in the country to nurture democratic values and establish durable national unity and solidarity.

Attaullah Hairan, a revolutionary politician, struggling for revisiting the so-called and unauthorized Durand Line and publishing a ‘Loy Afghanistan’ weekly told Afghanistan Times that the Pashtun Long March under the leadership of Manzoor Pashteen has provided an opportunity to align people against terrorists and terror sponsor states.

He said Pakistan had been involved in terrorism and the Pashtun areas on the other side of the line were turned into a launching pad for terrorism in Afghanistan.

‘Pakistan’s terrorist face has widely unmasked, the US-led international community must declare it a terror sponsor state,’ Haira said.

According to him, it is right time to held Pakistan accountable for its terrorist policies and wrongdoings with the suppressed nations within the country.

‘Revisiting Durand Line is the way forward to win war on terror,’ he believes.

The sit-in was attended by more than a hundred male and female activists, belonging to ethnic Pashtun, Hazara, Tajik and Uzbek communities. Israr Karimzai said the sit-in would be continued as long as their demands were not fulfilled.
