Balochistan Liberation Front has claimed responsibility for attack on personnel of FWO in Gwadar that injured more than 20 on Thursday.

The organisation claimed responsibility through their official twitter handle @BLF_online and confirmed that fighters from their organisation took part in the attack.

BLF is headed by famous doctor turned guerrilla Baloch leader Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch. It is one of largest and the most active armed Baloch force in coastal region of Balochistan.

On Thursday, unidentified men had thrown a grenade into a labourers’ hostel in port city of Gwadar wounding 26 of them. The laborers were affiliated with Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), a subsidiary of Pakistani Army that is run by an active Army General.

Analysts believe the the attack is likely to raise concern about security for China’s multi-billion “Belt and Road” initiative in Balochistan.
