Military operation between Mastung and Kalat

According to details obtained by The Balochistan Post, Pakistani security forces initiated a full-fledged military operation early morning on Friday in rural areas between towns of Mastung and Kalat. Large number of Pakistani security forces personnel conducted house to house searches in Gajaan, Qaabo and Rombak villages. The whole area was cordoned off by ground forces, which were supported aerially by Gunship helicopters too.

Reports suggest scores of Baloch civilians have been taken away by Pakistani security during this operation. Women and children were also among the people arrested. The Balochistan Post is trying to ascertain the identities of arrested people through sources on the ground.

Pakistani security forces have conducted military operations in the area in past too. In one such military operation last year, 14 Baloch nomads including women and children were killed.
