A severally disabled man has died under custody of Pakistani forces only a day after his arrest.
According to reports, a dead body was discovered early this morning from Ispin Tangi area of Shahrag near provincial capital Quetta. The dead body was taken over to Harnai hospital where it was identified as Ramzan Marri s/o Ali Baksh.
Ramzan Marri, a patient of poliomyelitis, was arrested along with several others on 16 August. The arrested also included women and children.
“We are shocked why they would kill a man who was disabled and only had one hand and leg working?”, a local talking to TBP asked.
The families of people who went missing along with Ramzan also fear for the safety of their loved ones now.
The arrests came after a vehicle of Pakistani security forces was attacked by Baloch fighters in the area. Locals allege that Pakistani forces target civilians whenever they come under attack.
