Pakistani forces reportedly carried out large-scale search operations in parts of Balochistan on Monday, with multiple individuals allegedly taken into custody during overnight raids in Khuzdar and Windar.
According to reports, Pakistani forces reportedly detained a shopkeeper identified as Saif-ur-Rehman, son of Mohammad Yaqoob, during a late-night raid in the Doctor Colony area of Khuzdar. Sources said he was taken to an undisclosed location. Reports further alleged that six other individuals were also detained in separate operations across the district, although their identities could not immediately be confirmed.

Meanwhile, in the Windar area of Lasbela district, Pakistani forces along with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel reportedly conducted a large-scale search operation overnight. Residents alleged that house-to-house searches were carried out during which incidents of assault, vandalism and looting took place.
Local sources said several individuals were taken into custody during the operation and their whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the reported detentions.
Reports of enforced disappearances in Balochistan are not uncommon and continue to be reported on a daily basis. Human rights organisations and Baloch activists allege that Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies are behind the incidents. However, Pakistani authorities often reject the allegations or decline to comment on them.
