Pakistani forces’ vehicles, posts and communication infrastructure were targeted in multiple attacks across Balochistan for a third consecutive day on Tuesday, local sources said.
In the Benchah area of Surab, two vehicles of Pakistani forces were targeted in an ambush by armed fighters using rockets and automatic weapons, sources said, adding that three personnel were killed and several others injured.
Meanwhile, in the Kardgap area of Mastung, fighters targeted two posts of Pakistani forces at the Grid Station and Kotal locations, according to local sources.
During the same period, fighters set up checkpoints on the main Quetta–Taftan highway, carrying out snap-checking of vehicles, a local source said, adding that the blockade remained in place for more than four hours.
Elsewhere, in Turbat, a Military Intelligence office was attacked, while in the Malsoryani area of Sibi, armed fighters destroyed a communication tower.
The attacks come as part of a wider wave of coordinated operations reported across Balochistan since late Saturday, during which military installations, camps, posts and checkposts of Pakistani forces have been targeted in around a dozen districts.
In a statement issued on Monday, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group had carried out more than 30 attacks across Balochistan, adding that operations were continuing “across the length and breadth of occupied Balochistan”.
He said the attacks targeted “camps and military installations” as well as the hideouts of what he described as “state-sponsored Death Squads”.
The statement said “modern weaponry was utilized” in the operations, resulting in the killing of “dozens of occupying personnel” and injuries to many others.
“Complete details regarding all these attacks and the specific losses inflicted upon the enemy will be released to the media soon,” the statement said.
