Three individuals who were previously reported missing have returned to their homes, according to families and rights groups.

Among them is Dr Rashid Ali Baloch, a urologist and poet, who had been reported missing from Quetta. Family members said he arrived home late on Tuesday night. Dr Baloch, son of Barkat, was reportedly taken into custody on 9 December by personnel identified by relatives as belonging to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Pakistani intelligence agencies. His release has been confirmed by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).

Two other individuals, Ataullah and Shahzaib, have also returned home after being reported missing. Ataullah, son of Qadir Bakhsh, was reportedly taken from Mastung on 9 November, while Shahzaib, son of Samad, was reported missing from the Kalri Lyari area of Karachi on 24 November.

No official statements have been issued by the authorities regarding the circumstances of their detention or release.

Human rights organisations say cases of alleged enforced disappearance have been reported in Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan for many years, with families often receiving no formal explanation when individuals are released.
