Pakistani forces have allegedly forcibly disappeared a youth from Turbat city of Balochistan.
According to reports, a young man was allegedly detained by Pakistani forces in the Askani area of Turbat, the main city of Kech district, on Monday.
The missing youth was identified as Amir Bakhsh, son of Nabi Bakhsh, who was reportedly taken from his shop. Family members told reporters they have received no information about his whereabouts since the detention.
Incidents of enforced disappearances have been a longstanding issue in Balochistan, where rights groups accuse Pakistani agencies of unlawfully detaining citizens. Families of the missing often stage demonstrations, demanding accountability and the safe return of their loved ones.
Authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the latest incident.
