Two new cases of enforced disappearance have been reported in Balochistan’s Kharan district.
According to local sources, Pakistani security forces raided a house in the Wadh area of Kharan late Saturday night and took two individuals into custody, transferring them to an undisclosed location.
The disappeared have been identified as Jasim, son of Muhammad Rahim Siyahpad, and Qaim, a minor, son of Ali Hassan Siyahpad.
Families of the victims have demanded their immediate release, calling the incident part of a wider pattern of enforced disappearances across the region.
Enforced disappearances remain one of the most pressing human rights issues in Balochistan, with rights groups accusing state forces of systematically targeting civilians, activists and students.
According to the Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB), at least 814 people were forcibly disappeared in the first six months of 2025 alone, almost matching the total number recorded in the entire previous year.
