The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” armed group claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani military camp in Turbat’s Absar Balochi Bazaar on Sunday, January 12.
In a statement to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group launched multiple grenade launcher rounds at the camp, inflicting both “casualties and material losses.”
According to the BLF statement, Pakistani forces responded with “indiscriminate” gunfire, allegedly in a state of panic. The BLF claimed its fighters withdrew without sustaining any losses, attributing their success to “guerrilla warfare tactics.”
Major Baloch accused Pakistani troops of resorting to staged encounters, enforced disappearances, and targeting civilians in an effort to maintain control. He characterized these alleged tactics as signs of psychological pressure and fear within the Pakistani security forces.
Major Baloch reaffirmed the BLF’s commitment to continued attacks, stating, “We will target occupying forces at every location until their withdrawal from Balochistan is achieved.”
