Families of Zaman Jan and Abul Hassan Baloch, who were allegedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces, have resumed their protest in Kech, warning of an indefinite closure of the CPEC road at Hoshab if their loved ones are not recovered.

The families allege that Zaman Jan and Abul Hassan were summoned to the residence of District Council Chairman Uthman Baloch, where they were forcibly disappeared. In response, they staged a protest blocking the CPEC road in Hoshab, demanding their immediate release. Following negotiations with government and administrative representatives, the families were assured that the two men would be recovered within two days.

However, five days have passed, and the families report no progress. “Despite the promises, we have neither been informed of their whereabouts nor received any indication of their release,” a family spokesperson said.

The families further accused the district administration and government of using deceptive tactics and harassment to suppress their demands. They emphasized that their initial decision to lift the blockade was based on trust in the assurances provided, but the failure to meet the promised timeline has left them with no choice but to renew their protest.

“We have once again blocked the CPEC road in Hoshab,” a family member said, adding, “If Zaman and Abul Hassan are not recovered by tonight, we will close the route indefinitely.”
