More than 30 attacks have targeted Pakistani forces, gas pipelines, and mineral transport vehicles across Balochistan over the past two days.

The attacks left a Pakistan Army major and a havaldar dead in Ziarat.

The attacks targeted Frontier Corps, Levies Force, and Coast Guards personnel, as well as mineral transport vehicles in key areas.

On Wednesday night, armed groups reportedly blocked three points along the Coastal Highway between Ormara and Pasni: Jafri Kaur, Khwari Checkpoint, and Chai.

Local sources said vehicles were stopped and searched at these roadblocks.

In Ormara, armed men attacked a Levies Force post at Khawari Chai, reportedly seizing weapons and equipment.

The Coast Guard camp in Ormara also came under attack, with casualties reported among the personnel.

During the blockade, vehicles carrying minerals were reportedly set on fire by armed men between Ormara and Pasni.

Similar attacks were reported in areas including Mastung, Turbat, Kharan, Gwarkop, Hoshap, Dera Bugti, Mashkay, Bolan, Buleda, Zamuran, Hironk, Panjgur, Barkhan, Awaran, Dukki, Kohlu, Tump, and Gwadar.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks, although sources told The Balochistan Post that “pro-independence” Baloch armed groups may be coordinating these operations.

In August, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) launched “Operation Herof,” targeting military posts, railway tracks, bridges, and mineral transport vehicles across 13 districts.

In one major attack, the BLA’s Majeed Brigade reportedly carried out a suicide operation on Pakistan Army headquarters in Bela.

Ziarat Ambush Claims Army Major

In Ziarat, armed assailants set up a roadblock on Wednesday night, stopping and searching vehicles.

Gunfire reportedly broke out during the roadblock, and two individuals, reportedly from Punjab, were taken and later killed.

On Thursday morning, an armored vehicle of Pakistani forces responding to the roadblock was targeted in an explosion near Mangi Dam.

Sources confirmed that Major Haseeb and Havaldar Noor Muhammad of the Pakistan Army were killed in the attack.

In total, the past two days have seen at least 38 reported assaults across Balochistan, with ongoing attacks on security forces, mineral transport vehicles, and gas pipelines.
