Activist Sammi Deen Baloch, the general secretary of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) and daughter of the missing Dr. Deen Mohammad, has announced a press conference and awareness campaign to mark 15 years since her father’s disappearance.

In a video message, Sammi Deen said her father was tortured and forcibly taken by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies on the night of June 28, 2009, while he was on duty at a hospital. She emphasized that the family still has no information about his whereabouts or condition.

“Despite all our efforts over the past 15 years, we have received no information about my father’s safety and well-being,” Sammi Deen stated. “Various governments have come and gone, each promising to recover my father and other missing persons, but these assurances have always proven false.”

To commemorate this painful anniversary, Sammi Deen announced a press conference at 4:30 PM on Friday at the Karachi Press Club. She also announced an awareness campaign on the social media platform X, which will take place from 7 PM to 12 AM on Friday, using the hashtag #ReleaseDrDeenMohammad.
