A severe heatwave continues to grip Balochistan, with temperatures soaring to record highs and prolonged power outages exacerbating the situation.
The Meteorological Department reported that Sibbi recorded the highest temperature at a scorching 47 degrees Celsius. Other regions, including Nokkundi and Turbat, also faced extreme heat, with temperatures reaching 45 and 43 degrees Celsius, respectively. Quetta experienced a high of 36 degrees Celsius, while coastal cities like Jiwani and Gwadar saw temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius.
These extreme temperatures are being compounded by ongoing power outages, making daily life increasingly difficult for the people of Balochistan.
