Two more Baloch men reportedly went missing from the Kech and Gwadar districts of Balochistan, on Monday.
According to reports, Pakistani forces allegedly detained a man named Hathir, son of Nokaap, after arresting him from the Hoshap area of the district.
Sources state that the Pakistani forces raided the victim’s house and forcibly disappeared him.
The second incident occurred in the coastal city of Gwadar when armed Pakistani forces raided a house in the Surbandan area of the district and arrested a man named Niyaz, son of Abdul.
It is pertinent to mention that Balochistan has once again witnessed a surge in forced disappearances in the past week, especially from Gwadar and Kech districts.
Forced disappearances are daily occurrences in the region for the past two decades. More than 55,000 individuals are reportedly missing from different areas of Balochistan. Local and International Human Rights Organizations, the United Nations, Human Rights Watch, and Amnesty International have accused Pakistani law-enforcement forces and its intelligence agencies of these extra-judicial detentions.
