Gul Zadi Baloch, whose brother Wadood Satakzai died BLA’s operation ‘Dara-e-Bolan’ in Mach, has posted a statement on ‘X’, the former Twitter, to reject the accusations of online trolls who claim that her brother was not a missing person, but a BLA member, when she was campaigning for his release.

Wadood Satakzai was killed during the operation ‘Dara-e-Bolan’ of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Mach. His sister, Gul Zadi Baloch, has stated on social media to counter the accusations of online trolls who are running a smear campaign against her.

Gul Zadi Baloch said that her brother was abducted by the Pakistani security forces on August 12, 2021 and released on February 8, 2022. She said that she campaigned for his safe release until he was freed. She said that she was unaware of when, how, and why her brother joined the armed struggle with the BLA, and that it was his personal decision. She said that she believes in peaceful political struggle. She said that the Baloch youth resort to armed resistance only when the Pakistani state denies them any peaceful resolution.

She further said that she presented her brother’s case to the police stations in Quetta and Mach, but to no avail. She said that she also went as far as Gwadar and Dhadar for court appearances regarding her brother’s case. She added that she also went to the commission for missing persons and got her brother registered as a ‘missing person’ there.

She said that the state should reconsider its policies and stop the Baloch genocide. She also warned the online propagandists that she will not give up her peaceful struggle and will continue to raise her voice for the Baloch cause.

Wadood Satakzai was among the BLA fighters who were killed in the ‘Dara-e-Bolan’ operation against the Pakistani security forces in Mach, Bolan. The BLA released a detailed statement of the slain fighters, including Wadood Satakzi alias Shehaq. The BLA said that Wadood belonged to Mach, where the operation took place. He was forcibly disappeared by the ‘occupying’ Pakistani security forces, imprisoned and tortured for months, and then released.

The BLA said that after his release, Wadood realized that the ‘uncivilized’ enemy could not be persuaded by civil discourse, and that only armed resistance could liberate the Baloch nation from the ‘shackles of slavery’. The BLA said that Wadood volunteered for the Majeed Brigade, the elite unit of BLA that specializes in self-sacrificial attacks.

Wadood Satakzai fought valiantly with the Pakistani forces for two days and did not let the ‘enemy’ recover, the group said.

After BLA’s operation ‘Dara-e-Bolan’ operation, some troll accounts, allegedly run by people on the payroll of Pakistani military and intelligence agencies, started posting photos of Gul Zadi Baloch from the time when she was campaigning for her brother’s release. In the photos, she can be seen holding a picture of Wadood Satakzai. The troll accounts repeated their claim that the Baloch missing persons are not missing, but terrorists who are part of the BLA and other armed groups.

Gul Zadi refuted these claims, saying that her brother was released and she stopped campaigning after that.
