A military operation has been going on for the last several days in Balochistan’s district Kech.

According to reports, the forces have shifted more than ten people from Darachko area of ​​Tehsil Dasht to an unknown location after arresting them during the operation.

The missing include three elderly people, identified as Murad, Kamal and Habib.

The other young abductees have been identified as Fida son of Nazar, Fida son of Ibrahim, Owais son of Rasool Bakhsh, Hanif son of Farak, Niaz son of Omid, Abid son of Bashir and Bilal son of Bashir.

It is to be noted that incidents of enforced disappearances are frequently reported in Balochistan. Political parties and rights groups in Balochistan have been striving for the recovery of missing persons for more than a decade.

As per reports, Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies, on Sunday have arrested two brothers from Zehri and transferred them to an unknown location.

Security forces raided Zehri tehsil of district Khuzdar on Sunday morning and took two brothers into custody. While another youth from Zehri, was abducted from Quetta city on the same day. The whereabouts of the all 3 youths remain unknown since.

Missing persons from Zehri

The two brothers who went missing from Zehri Samwani, have been identified as Samiullah and Sawad Khan son of Naseer Ahmed while the youth who went missing from Quetta has been identified as Zakir son of Taj Muhammad.

Two other youths from Zehri, Irfan and Qadir Kanwal, have also been missing for the last several months and have not been recovered yet.

Whereas, a dead body have been discovered from Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan, on Monday.

According to details, a body of a man was recovered on Dr. Bano Road in Quetta. The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained yet.

The body has been kept in the morgue of the Quetta hospital for identification.

A few days earlier, the Police had recovered bodies of two persons from Quetta and Mastung areas of Balochistan.

The body found in Mastung, was that of Nehmatullah son of Arz Mohammad, who was forcibly disappeared.

According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, a campaign group for the recovery of missing persons, thousands of people have been forcibly disappeared from Balochistan. While the organization claims that many of these missing persons were tortured to death in custody and their bodies are dumped afterwards, but the identification of many of them is not possible due to distortion.
