Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday asked the western governments to outlaw the insult of Prophet Muhammad on the lines of the holocaust. He asked them to “penalise those deliberately spreading their message of hate against Muslims” by disrespecting the prophet in the same way they had outlawed any “negative comments against the holocaust.”

In a series of tweets, the Pakistani premier clarified that he took action against the proscribed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan after its member challenged the state and used violence against the public and law enforcers.

In one of the tweets, the premier asked the western governments to penalize those deliberately abusing the prophet just as they did with the negative comments against the holocaust.

“I also call on Western govts who have outlawed any negative comment on the holocaust to use the same standards to penalise those deliberately spreading their message of hate against Muslims by abusing our Prophet PBUH” he wrote.
