A recently released Baloch youth was allegedly abducted again from Dhadar area of Kachi district, Balochistan, on Saturday.

According to details, Pakistani forces have allegedly detained Nadir Khan s/o Haji Sayed Khan and moved him to an undisclosed location.

It is to mention that Nadir Khan had been reportedly abducted earlier by the Pakistani forces on May 8th, 2020. After the disappearance, he was produced on 8th November and shifted to Jail, but 3 days ago, a day after his release, he was once again detained, after which his whereabouts are unknown.

The District officials have not yet commented on the issue.

In another development in Quetta, the family of the missing Abdul Rashid Baloch appealed for his safe recovery in a press conference at Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) camp.

The sister of Abdul Rashid Baloch demanded that if there are any legit accusations against her brother, then he should be presented before the court.

It is pertinent to mention that Abdul Rashid Baloch, a student, was reportedly abducted on 27 November 2012, from Jinnah Town in Quetta. He remains missing to this day.

Atta-Ur-Rehman, brother of the missing Abdul Rashid, said that since the “abduction” of our brother, we have registered FIR and knocked all the doors of justice, but to no avail. He appealed to Human Rights Organizations to play their role for the safe release of his brother.

Enforced disappearances are a major human rights issue in Balochistan that started in the early 2000s and have never slowed down. If anything, they have only accelerated — dramatic surge has been observed in the number of people going missing with each coming year.

International campaign groups, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, accuse Pakistani security forces as the ‘perpetrators of illegal abductions’ in Balochistan.
