Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch, head of a militant group, the Balochistan Liberation Front, has appealed to the UN to recognize and help Baloch refugees.

According to details, Dr. Baloch expressed his views on Twitter, saying that the United Nations should recognize Baloch refugees living in Afghanistan and Iran, who are suffering from corona-virus in emergency situations. ۔

He further added that this is an emergency for everyone and a catastrophic disaster is about to take place. The United Nations should send aid as soon as possible.

It is to be noted that the government of Balochistan had set up a tent settlement in Quetta and Taftan, the border area of Balochistan connected to Iran. The settlements are made for the pilgrims returning from Iran. Due to the poor measures, government is facing serious criticism.

A phrase from a statement of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, where pilgrims are kept.

A statement on Saturday by Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan, gives an idea about the situation of the area, “the pilgrims returning from Iran were placed at the border due to the short notice, for such a big number of people, it wasn’t possible to arrange something in a day, and Taftan is a desert where even electricity can’t reach from the national powerhouse”.

Dr. Murad Baloch, Secretary General of the Baloch National Movement, had said in his statement that this is a global epidemic. All countries are doing their best to prevent the outbreak, but Pakistan’s actions are based on clear-cut Baloch animosity.

He said “the Baloch nation was already suffering from a devastating situation by the state. Now, Pakistan has imposed the Corona virus on the Baloch nation under the collective punishment policy. It is Pakistan’s Baloch rivalry that instead of transferring pilgrims from Iran to the modern hospitals of the major cities and Quarantine centers, they are kept in tents in Hazar Ganji and Taftan, the areas deprived of basic health care”.

“In this modern age one cannot imagine that such deadly virus-infected people are kept openly. In the civilized world, animals even are not treated the same”, he added.

The provincial president of the Pashtun Milli Awami Party, Usman Khan Kakar has said that the Balochistan government is failing in urgent measures to prevent the advance of the Corona virus. Rather, immediate security measures are a question mark on government performance.

He said shifting thousands of pilgrims to Quetta in only 2 quarantine centers would lead to further spread of the disease. If the government had already planned, this situation would not have happened today.

Whereas, a couple of days ago, a video about the condition of a quarantine center for Corona-virus patients in Taftan, went viral on social media.

The video clearly shows a lack of facilities at the quarantine center in Taftan.

It can be seen in the video that all men, including women and children are living in the same space at the quarantine center, which is obvious to increase the number of cases.
