Pakistani security forces abducted a man from Kech district of Balochistan on Monday

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Pakistani forces arrested a man named Dad Bakhsh s/o Mayar from Pedrak area of Kech district and moved him to an unknown location.

Whereas, sources from Awaran, another district of Balochistan, told TBP that Pakistani forces have launched an operation on Sunday evening and arrested several people.

Operation was conducted in Lal Jan Bazaar, Sajdi Bazaar, Sahero Granadi and surrounding areas in Gashkor tehsil of Awaran, where people were subjected to torture.

According to sources, the security forces tortured the residents of the area including women and children and detained several persons, who were later released while Akbar s/o Qadir Bakhash is still missing.

Locals claim that the purpose of such operations is to forcibly evacuate them from the area. To avoid such disturbing incidents happening on regular basis, many residents have already migrated to other places.

District authorities have not made any comments about the operation yet.
