A vehicle of pilgrims belonging to Zikri community has came under attack when they were enroute to Koh-e-Murad, Turbat, for religious rituals.

The vehicle was attacked through a remote-controlled bomb in Kamp-Tal, an area close to Panjgur city of Balochistan by a religious extremist group.

Our correspondent in Panjgur, confirmed the incident and said: ‘the blast was so severe that it destroyed the vehicle and at least two people died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Nakaam s/o Khuda Baksh and Khan Mohammad s/o Shaadain. Two others were also injured in the attack.’

Laskar-e-Khorasan, an affiliate group of ISIS in Balochistan, is said to be behind the attack. Only few days ago the group had carried out wall-chalking against Zikri community and had threatened to kill Zikris. Baloch nationalist organisations allege that these groups are supported by Pakistani security forces.

In the wake of the incident, pro-independence political party Baloch National Movement (BNM) official account tweeted: ISIS in Balochistan is directly supported by Pakistan army, it’s militants are trained & sheltered in Pakistan army camps all around Balochistan. ISIS in Balochistan is a tool to counter Baloch’s national movement. All the roots of ISIS will lead to Pakistani military camps, if analyzed.
