A person has been ‘forcibly disappeared’ by Pakistani security forces in Gwadar, Balochistan.

According to TBP correspondent, Pakistani security forces raided a house in coastal town of Gwadar and detained a man. The incident happened last night in SarBundar in Gwadar.

The person, who was taken to an undisclosed location, has been identified as Ali Akbar s/o Yar Mohammad. He is a resident of Dasht Jathani Bazar.

It was not clear why the person was arrested.

However, Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. Recently instances of ‘women and children abductions’ have also been reported. Many of the missing persons have also been ‘killed and dumped’.

International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakitani security forces as the perpetrators of ‘illegal abductions in Balochistan’.
