At least six persons have gone missing after being detained by Pakistani security forces in different areas of Balochistan.
According to details by local TBP correspondents, in two different raids conducted in Khuzdar and Kech, six persons were arrested and subsequently disappeared by Pakistani security forces on Monday.
In Zehri Khuzdar, at 4pm local time Pakistani security forces detained four persons in front of scores of witnesses in the local market of Noor Gama. The detainees were than taken to undisclosed locations.
Identity of only two detainees has been ascertained so far, who have been identified as Riaz Kahni Zehri and Zahoor Ahmed s/o Abdul Salam Lotani. Both are residents of an area in Zehri called Kahn.
In another incident, two youngsters were ‘forcibly disappeared’ by Pakistani security forces from Khair Abad in Kech.
Security forces arrested the two youngsters after conducting house raids in the area.
The youngsters have been identified as Zaren and Dad Kareem, who hail from Mand in Kech.
It was not clear why these persons were disappeared. However, Balochistan is plagued by enforced disappearances of Baloch activists. Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, a campaign group by victim families, claims that tens of thousands of Baloch have been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces.
