At least three people went ‘missing’ after allegedly being picked up by armed forces in Kech district.
According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, during military raids in Hoshab town of Kech, two men were picked up by personnel of forces. The arrested were then taken to an undisclosed location.
The missing men have been identified as Qambar s/o Peer Muhammad and Salum s/o Ilahi Bakhsh.
In another news, according to the locals of Damb village of Hoshab, A shepherd went missing after going to a military camp to inquire about his missing camels, which were allegedly taken by personnel of security forces.
The shepherd was identified as Khair Bakhsh s/o Pindokh.
A total of 12 men have gone missing from Kech district in abduction-styled-arrests this week only, out of which, 5 were picked up from Hoshab town alone.
According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a campaign group by families of victims, more than 20,000 Baloch men, women and children are under Pakistani custody.
International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International also accuse Pakistani security forces as the culprits of ‘illegal abductions in Balochistan’.
