An event was held on Saturday in Hengen city of Germany to discuss the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan.
According to details received by The Balochistan Post, the event titled “Human Rights situation in Pakistan: Special focus on Balochistan” was organised by Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) and local community.
Representatives of HRCB, Lateef Johar and Dr. Yousuf Baloch, Social Media activist Waqas Ahmed Goraya, and members of Amnesty International Hengen chapter spoke at the event to highlight the grave human rights violations in Balochistan.
A large number of human rights and political activists attended the event.
Dr. Yousaf Baloch of HRCB gave a briefing about the current situation of human rights in Balochistan, whereas, Lateef Johar presented a detailed report on the violations of human rights. They urged UN and other international campaign groups to pressurise Pakistan to stop human rights abuses in Balochistan.
Activist Waqas Goraya spoke during the event about state persecution of oppressed communities in Pakistan.
Representatives of Amnesty International Hengen chapter expressed serious concerns on religious persecution, killings due to so-called blasphemy laws and Baloch genocide by Pakistani state.
Amnesty International Hengen chapter took signatures of participants on petition for Baloch student leader Shabbir Baloch.
