The body of a young man who had allegedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces has been recovered in Balochistan’s Gwadar district, while families in Turbat have appealed for the recovery of three men missing since October 24.
The deceased was identified as Ahmed, son of Gwahram Baloch, who was reportedly taken into custody in Gwadar’s Shadi Kaur area on October 5, 2025, and transferred to an undisclosed location. His body was recovered in Gwadar on October 19 this year.
Families in Kech district’s Turbat also appealed for the return of three relatives, telling the media that Pakistani forces detained them in Askani Absar at around 8 p.m. on October 24 and took away a vehicle and other belongings.
They identified the men as Talau, son of Naguman; Muhammad Hayat, son of Babul; and Charshambay, son of Shambay. None has returned, and the families said they had received no information about their whereabouts.
Pir Jan, Talau’s son, said the families had approached government officials and raised the case through the media, but their efforts had brought no progress.
The families appealed to the deputy commissioner and district police officer of Kech, as well as the commissioner of Makran, to provide information about the men and secure their immediate return.

VBMP Calls for Recovery of Missing Persons
Meanwhile, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) continued its protest outside the Quetta Press Club for the 6,410th day on Thursday. Journalist Saifullah Sarparah and Comrade Manzoor Baloch visited the camp and expressed solidarity with the families.
VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch said the disappearance of one person left an entire family in anguish and brought their lives to a standstill. Families endured prolonged psychological and social difficulties, he added, with consequences for the wider community.

He urged the government and the heads of state institutions to address the issue on humanitarian grounds and take practical steps to secure the recovery of all missing persons. Anyone facing allegations should be brought before a court so that proceedings could take place in accordance with the law, he said.
